Get Your Red Hot Dik-Diks!

Get 'em while they last! Amazon.com, to my astonishment, has only one copy of Stalking the Wild Dik-Dik left. It says so right on their Dik-Dik order page.

Only 1 left in stock--order soon (more on the way).

That's almost as cool as when Roberta said it was her new favorite book.

Hi again,
thanx for the good words and recommendations - it has resulted in a lot of hits on my blog from USA ;-)

I think the Americans are more into blogging than the Danes, at least yet, and that the Danes mignt be too shy to leave comments.

Anyway, I'd like to read your book, I might come across it sometime, and I will buy it. For now I will post a link on my blog to your book and blog...

Have a good day

One things Americans are NOT is shy--I do have a few readers in Scandinavia and they comment to me by email but not on the blog. So yeah, blogging is just more... common here? Something like that.

I hope you like my book when you see it one day--things that other people might seem very surprised by will just be normal to you. "Well, of course there are flushing toilets and shopping malls in Africa, what do you think, it is the moon?"

The book uses material from the Uganda part of this blog, but mostly the source is the grand overland journey from Cape Town to Cairo from MariesWorldTour.com, which was about a green novice making her way across Africa (me in 2001). When I look at what surprised me then, I have to laugh at myself. And I didn't even know how to put up a tent then!

I hope it makes it to Aristoc one day.

Something weird is going on at Amazon. Now the page says "Only 2 left in stock--order soon (more on the way)." Did someone return one?

And when I ordered three of them (makes a great gift!), they didn't say a word about "back order," just took my money and made hollow promises.

Hmmm...

Gotta admit... I noticed that 2 thing earlier today and was too lazy to revise this post. I tried putting one in my cart to see if that had something to do with it, but it didn't change the number left. I wonder what's going on. Maybe someone placed the order, then cancelled it? Maybe they found one in a pile of Bill Bryson books. An obvious error. Made it myself before.

I finished reading it and it's excellent! I was sorry to see it end.

The book is more introspective and personal than mariesworldtour.com and I think a lot of people will be able to relate to it.
